Claude Code and Claude Cowork can be extended with plugins. This repo is the catalog of plugins written by people outside Anthropic. The catalog is one file, .claude-plugin/marketplace.json, which Claude Code reads to know what it can install.

The repo is a read-only mirror, synced nightly from Anthropic's internal review pipeline. Authors submit plugins through a web form on claude.ai, and each one goes through automated security scanning and approval before it is listed. Pull requests opened against the repo are closed automatically.

It sits next to two related catalogs: anthropics/claude-plugins-official for plugins Anthropic maintains, and anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins for role-specific plugins. This one is for community contributions.

## What it does

- **Marketplace file**: A single marketplace.json lists the community plugins available to install.
- **Security-scanned plugins**: Every listed plugin was submitted through the official form, passed automated security scanning, and was approved.
- **Works with Claude Code**: Two CLI commands add the marketplace and install a plugin by name.
- **Works with Claude Cowork**: Cowork users install the same community plugins from claude.com/plugins.
- **Nightly sync**: The list is refreshed every night from Anthropic's internal review pipeline.

## What you could build

- Browse community plugins that add abilities to Claude Code.
- Install a vetted plugin into Claude Code from the command line.
- Find plugins for Claude Cowork through the plugin directory.
- Submit your own plugin for distribution through the official submission form.

## Who it's for

Claude Code or Cowork users who want to add plugins, and plugin authors who want to publish; you should already have Claude Code installed.

## Get started

Add the marketplace to Claude Code with the first command, then install any plugin from it by name with the second. Cowork users can install the same plugins from claude.com/plugins.

```
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
```
```
claude plugin install <plugin-name>@claude-community
```
