Posting to many social networks by hand is slow, and hosted schedulers often charge per channel, post or team member. Postiz lets you plan posts on a calendar, publish them to channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky and Mastodon, and look at how they performed.

It is a TypeScript monorepo: a Next.js front end, a NestJS back end, Prisma with PostgreSQL by default, Temporal for workflows, and Redis. You can run the open-source edition on your own server, or use the paid Postiz Cloud. The README says both have the same core features, and the self-hosted one has no limits on channels, posts or team members.

The main trade-off is setup. When you self-host, you create your own developer apps on each social platform and wait for their approval, which the README says can take weeks for Meta, YouTube and TikTok. Postiz also offers a public API, an MCP server and a CLI, plus n8n and Make.com integrations and a Node SDK, so agents and automations can schedule posts too.

What it does

  • Scheduling and calendar

Plan posts on a calendar, cross-post to several channels, repeat posts, and add comments, delays, sets and signatures.

  • Team collaboration

Invite team members to comment on and schedule posts, and exchange or buy posts with other users.

  • Analytics

Measure how your content performs. When self-hosting, this needs your own app credentials with analytics permissions.

  • API and automation

A public API and webhooks, a Node SDK, an n8n node and a Make.com app connect Postiz to other workflows.

  • AI features and agent access

AI copilot, images, videos and a Smart Agent work when you bring your own LLM keys. An MCP server and CLI let tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor drive it.

What you could build

  • Run a self-hosted content calendar for a small team or agency across many social channels.
  • Connect an AI agent through MCP or the CLI so it drafts and schedules posts for you.
  • Build an n8n or Make.com workflow that publishes new content automatically.
  • Track post analytics from several networks in one dashboard.
  • Fork the code and add a custom social platform integration.

Get started

The README gives no commands itself and points to the Quick Start Guide at docs.postiz.com/quickstart. Self-hosting means deploying with Docker or similar, configuring Postgres, Redis, storage and environment variables, then registering your own apps on each social platform. Postiz Cloud is the faster route if you want to skip that.

Commands are copied from the project's README. Read it on GitHub for the full setup.
