Lark (called Feishu in China) is a workplace suite with chat, documents, spreadsheets, calendar, mail and more. lark-cli lets you use those from a terminal, and lets an AI agent do the same, instead of clicking through the app or writing raw API calls.

Commands come in three layers. Shortcuts start with a plus sign, such as +agenda, and have smart defaults, table output and dry-run previews. API commands map one to one onto platform endpoints. Raw API calls reach anything else on the Lark Open Platform.

It also ships agent skills, which are instruction files an AI tool loads so it knows how to use each part of Lark. Login can act as you or as a bot, and credentials are kept in the operating system keychain. Companies embedding it in their own agent can use the extension packages for central credentials and audit logging.

## What it does

- **Three command layers**: Friendly shortcuts, API commands that match platform endpoints, and raw API calls for anything not covered.
- **26 agent skills**: Skills for calendar, messaging, docs, sheets, Base, mail, tasks, meetings, approvals, OKRs and more. Two are workflows: a meeting summary and a standup report.
- **Broad Lark coverage**: Sends messages, creates docs and slides, edits spreadsheets and Base tables, manages calendars and mail, and searches meetings and transcripts.
- **Flexible login**: OAuth login can be interactive or limited to chosen domains or scopes. A non-blocking mode returns a URL for agents, and you can run commands as a user or a bot.
- **Enterprise embedding**: Teams building their own agent or platform can wrap the CLI with central credential storage, audit logging and a restricted command set.

## What you could build

- Ask an AI agent to check your calendar and find a free slot for a meeting.
- Send chat messages or post updates to a group from a shell script.
- Generate a weekly report document in Lark Docs from Markdown.
- Summarize meeting minutes and transcripts into a structured report.
- Read and update Base tables or spreadsheets from automation scripts.

## Who it's for

Suits people and teams who use Lark or Feishu and want to script it or give an AI agent access; you need a Lark account, Node.js, and some comfort with the terminal.

## Get started

Install with npx, then run the one-time interactive config to set up app credentials. Log in with the recommended scopes and try a first command such as the calendar agenda.

```
npx @larksuite/cli@latest install
```
```
lark-cli config init
```
```
lark-cli auth login --recommend
```
