Search engines mostly return editorial pages and older material. The useful recent talk about a person, tool or event is often in Reddit threads, X posts, YouTube transcripts and prediction markets, and each of those sits behind its own API and login. /last30days is a skill your coding agent runs: you type a topic, and it queries those sources over the past 30 days.

It scores each result by how much people engaged with it, for example upvotes, likes, views or Polymarket trading volume. Then the agent synthesizes the top items into one brief. The README frames this as social relevancy rather than SEO relevancy, and it says a heavily upvoted thread counts for more than a blog post few people read.

Reddit, Hacker News, Polymarket and GitHub work with no setup. Other sources like X, YouTube and TikTok need your own keys or browser sessions, which a first-run setup wizard helps with. The README compares it to Google, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, none of which cover all of these platforms at once.

## What it does

- **Many sources in parallel**: Covers Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Hacker News, Polymarket, GitHub, LinkedIn, Bluesky, arXiv, Techmeme, web and more. Some are free and keyless, others need your own credentials.
- **Engagement-based ranking**: Results are scored by upvotes, likes, views and market volume, and top comments are included by default. An agent judge then writes the brief.
- **Discovery mode**: Ask what's exploding in a field and it returns 5 to 10 topics ranked by momentum, each with cross-source numbers and a ready-to-run follow-up command.
- **Hiring-signals option**: Running it on a company with --hiring-signals reads current job and careers pages and reports what the hiring appears to suggest, not what the roadmap will ship.
- **Doctor health check**: A doctor command runs every source and lists exact fixes, such as a missing key, a CLI not on PATH or an expired cookie.

## What you could build

- Read up on a person or company before a meeting or sales call.
- Compare tools or frameworks using live GitHub star counts and community opinion.
- Spot rising topics in a field before they peak.
- Check recent news, wait times or closures before a trip.
- Collect what the community says works for a technique, then draft a prompt from it.

## Who it's for

Suits people who already use an AI coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and want recent, community-grounded research; they should be ready to add API keys for some sources.

## Get started

Install the plugin in Claude Code, or use the npx command for Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other Agent Skills hosts. Then run /last30days with a topic; Reddit, HN, Polymarket and GitHub work straight away, and the setup wizard adds the rest.

```
/plugin marketplace add mvanhorn/last30days-skill
```
```
/plugin install last30days
```
```
npx skills add mvanhorn/last30days-skill -g
```
