Remotion lets you make videos by writing React code. An AI agent that doesn't know Remotion well can get timing, layout or rendering wrong. This repo packages the maintainers' own guidance as Agent Skills, which are instruction files an agent loads when a task calls for them.
Each skill covers one area, such as writing markup, creating a project, launching the Studio preview, rendering, maps, captions, or upgrading. You call them as slash commands, for example /remotion-create with a prompt describing the video you want. One umbrella skill, /remotion-best-practices, covers all the others if you're unsure which to use.
The skills follow the open Agent Skills format, so they work across several agents. They come from the Remotion project itself rather than a third party.
What it does
Project creation
/remotion-create starts a new Remotion project or composition from a prompt, such as a promo video for a record store.
Markup best practices
/remotion-markup covers compositions, animations, layout, typography, media elements, effects, audio, fonts and timing.
Studio preview and render
/remotion-studio launches the Studio to preview your video. /remotion-render renders it to a video or a still.
Maps and captions
/remotion-maps covers static maps, animated routes and 3D flyovers with Mapbox, MapLibre, MapTiler and CesiumJS. /remotion-captions covers captions and subtitles.
Docs lookup and upgrades
/remotion-docs searches the Remotion documentation and fetches pages as Markdown. /remotion-upgrade updates Remotion, related packages and the installed skills.

Get started
Run the first command in your project to install the skills for your agent. Alternatively, create a new Remotion project with the second command and choose to add skills when asked. Then call a skill such as /remotion-create with a prompt.
