A coding model on its own only writes text. Ruflo calls the layer around it the harness: the tools, memory, loops and controls that let the model do real work. Ruflo is that layer for Claude Code and Codex.
After you run its init command, it adds an MCP server, hooks, a background daemon and a library of agent definitions, commands and skills to your project. The README says the hooks route tasks, learn from patterns that worked, and coordinate agents in the background while you keep using Claude Code as usual.
There are two ways in. A lighter route installs individual Claude Code plugins as slash commands and agent definitions, with no files added to your workspace. The full CLI install adds the whole loop, including hooks and the daemon. The README lists 35 plugins covering memory, swarms, testing, security scanning, cost tracking and more.
What it does
Full harness from one command
The CLI install sets up 98 agents, 60+ commands, 30 skills, an MCP server, hooks and a daemon in your project.
Swarms and autonomous loops
Multiple agents can be coordinated as a team, and the ruflo-autopilot plugin runs agents in a loop.
Memory and retrieval
Plugins provide a vector database, hybrid search, knowledge graphs and saving agent memory between sessions.
Federation and security checks
A federation plugin lets agents on different machines work together. Other plugins scan for prompt injection, PII and vulnerabilities.
Pick-and-choose plugins
Install single plugins such as ruflo-core, ruflo-swarm or ruflo-testgen from the ruflo marketplace without adding files to your workspace.
What you could build
- Run a team of agents on a larger coding task from inside Claude Code.
- Give Claude Code memory that persists across sessions with a vector store.
- Generate missing tests and scan a codebase for vulnerabilities with plugins.
- Track token usage and set budgets with the cost-tracker plugin.
- Build and publish your own Claude Code plugin using the plugin-creator scaffold.
Get started
For the full install, run init in your project, restart Claude Code and open the console with /ruflo. To try plugins only, add the marketplace inside Claude Code and install the ones you want.
